Schneekoppe Landschaftsfoto

Berlin – Sněžka – Berlin

What sounds like a classic will celebrate its premiere in 2024.

Just 300 kilometres from Berlin, the Schneekoppe rises 1604 metres above sea level in the Giant Mountains. Visible from far and wide in an impressive landscape, the summit rises out of the mountain range and offers a breathtaking view in every direction.

We promise 600 kilometres of beautiful and varied scenery and a hand-picked route with over 5000 metres of climbing. It will be a sweaty affair but also an unforgettable experience.

We would like you to join us on this Brevet-style adventure. The route will be mainly on tarmac and gravel roads, so you should be on wider tyres (35mm+). But for the most part we will make good progress and you'll have time for sleep breaks. There will be a group start and a finisher party at the end to celebrate our efforts.

The GB600 is a tribute to cycling legend Gino Bartali, an anti-fascist and an example of humanity and solidarity. These are the values that will characterise our event. A warm and respectful atmosphere is very important to us.

Unlike the traditional Brevet, we have significantly extended the time window. We also plan to have safe sleeping facilities and checkpoints. We want to make sure that everyone feels comfortable and safe.

Unfortunately, cycling is still very much a male-dominated sport. We want to change that. Especially by encouraging FLINTA* people to take part. There will be a fixed number of places reserved exclusively for FLINTA* people. We are looking forward to an adventure in good company.
